to dream up this stuff must make a person really dangerous, to then carry the plan out makes them deranged

i re-joined facebook a few weeks ago, i didnt really want to, but i wanted access to the GAPSA facebook page.

i now remember why i withdrew from facebook, the constant messages of people wanting to be my friend.

Just ignore the friend requests David.....you don't have to be friends with anyone if you don't want to.

I have 2 friends, one of whom died a few years ago but it gives me access to pages that I am interested in....horse studs, shows etc.

I joined FB because a club I belonged to had a page and it was the only way to know what was going on.  I also got friend requests I found annoying.  So I closed my page down (not that there was anything on it).

I eventually went back to FB to join a few groups of like minded collectors.  That's been fun.  What is not fun is seeing how many big companies only answer legitimate complaints with useless copy and paste replies.  The big supermarkets are the worst IMO.

Also, I've found if you have a complaint with a company and you approach them privately and get no resolution, so you decide to 'go public' on FB and it's still not solved, the answer is....the company blocks the customer on FB.  Problem solved!  I've been blocked on a few.  I think it's hilarious, particularly for two companies where the complaints (the ones I had) keep coming because they don't address them.  They must have a massive blocked list by now. LOL

BTW, most of the time it really does pay to contact a company directly if you have any issues, than to play 'outraged customer' on FB in the first instance.

I've seen a few examples on Dr Phil.  Some of the people sucked in, despite all the evidence didn't believe they had been conned.

In the ABC reported example that person who conned those women deserves a long time in jail.
