Child Support Question

When the Mother goes back to work does the fathers payments change much ??

The mother has been receiving parenting payments and the father has been paying child support.  The mother will be earning not much more the the parenting payment.

I am no expert but as far as I know that should have nothing to do with Mum's child support payment, I think it is based on the other parents income not the parent who is receiving child support.

But I am sure there are others out there who know much more.

Child support is calculated using both incomes and time spent with each parent... chances are that the income of this lady you describe will not impact the child support she gets but give CSA a call and ask them. 

It is a pretty "confusing" calculation so best to just tell them of the change and of the expected income... they will then tell you what if any changes will happen.
