I want to buy a good cutlery set, what would constitute a good set to you?

There should be some good sales on in Jan. A $300 set 30-40% off..would be a good deal. Most are made in China now so quality isn't as good as it used to be. Oneida was a good brand, pimpy..

Picture a customer in the homewares dept.. checking out cutlery sets and putting a fork from each set in their mouths to test sharpness. Security might escort you out of the store!

Also, make sure you insist on your right to test EVERY fork, quality control is not what it used to be!

take a container of food with you so you can test the knives cutting qualities too and some ice-cream to test the spoons.
