Today the PM made a statement using the word Cyclical, I have never heard the word so decided to look it up - "denoting a business or stock whose income, value, or earnings fluctuate widely according to variations in the economy or the cycle of the seasons: Selling Christmas decorations is a cyclical business.
My question - Does this mean the present government is cyclical ?????

it depends - to what was she referring to as cyclical?
I think if you were to stretch the definition to apply to the Gov, it would have to be for all Gov's, not just this one, cos they all seem to change their minds with the weather and all politicians seem to go around in circles and put their own spin on things, regardless of which Gov they belong to.
I don't think that you could call the office of Gov cyclical, cos unlike Christmas, just cos they were here this term, doesn't mean they will be voted back in next term - so it is not definite that they will return from one election to the next. Whereas, short of TRBAG's predictions coming true or Political Correctness finally gets its way, getting Christmas every December is a sure thing.

Cyclical: "Something that happens on a regular basis", hence menstrual cycle.
