I used vinegar. Let it sit (enough to cover the bottom) then lightly scrub with soft bristle brush. Baking Soda (Bicarb) is also good to use as it acts like an abrasive without the scratch factor.

Thank you all you clever people. You reminded me of the Shannon Lush solution. I used baking soda and white vinegar, scrubbed it with a nylon scourer while it was fizzing then rinsed that out and boiled some more bicarb and water until it was clear, and the burn is all gone! Well done everyone :^O

Just throw it out and give up cooking, thats what I did after burning the backside out of my 10th saucepan I decided cooking is not for me. ๐ฎ
