40 plus degrees. Tomorrow will be worse conditions ๐
Apparently they're advising ppl south of Canberra to evacuate, Snowjewel
Yes, those who are on rural properties south of the a.c.t.
For now, the southern most suburbs are on alert, and could face ember attacks tomorrow.
My son is in the south side. He did get some ash falling from the sky the other day. It is a huge worry.

Looking at the radar, I think it will go out across the Strait and miss Melbourne.
But storms are expected here tomorrow.

It was supposed to hit here around 3pm, it's FOUR hours late
You seem to get far more rain than we do, so you should be fine

This seems to be a pattern around the world doesn't it?
California
Over the past couple of years, California lurched from its worst drought ever to disastrous, record flooding.
India
Climate change and bad policies have pushed India into a recurring cycle of floods and droughts which is threatening the countryโs economic stability and environmental wellbeing. The current floods have so far killed around 250 people and displaced at least a million across four states in southern and western India.

Australia
In north-west Queensland it hadnโt rained, any decent rain, for more than five years.
When the downpour finally came last week, graziers were elated. Now itโs feared up to 500,000 cattle, mostly from severely drought-stressed herds, have been killed in widespread flood waters.
Africa
Over the last 30 years in Somalia, recurrent droughts and floods have become more intense, frequent and unpredictable, linked to climate change. In October, Somalia has been devastated by floods, affecting over half a million - or 574,000 - people. Hundreds of thousands of them have been forced to leave their homes and many of them are in dire need of clean water, shelter, health and food supplies.
