I thought this might be of help.:|
It isn't to me..... as it is not applicable to what I have concerns about..........
If the posting content or style of a particular member is causing problems for you, there is a feature available to ignore all posted content from that member. This allows you to avoid unwanted or undesirable post
content. You can learn more about this function here:
http://community.ebay.com.au/help.jspa#setprofile
Any posts that explicitly violate the eBay Board Usage Policy
http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/policies/everyone-ov.html
can be reported for review.
To report a post, click the “Report Abuse” link located on every post, and select the violation from the pull-down menu.
Alternatively, you might choose to start an eBay Group
http://community.ebay.com.au/help.jspa#groups
As a Group Leader, you can select either a public or private setting and either allow public participation or limit the membership to a specific subset of friends and
acquaintances which will allow you to restrict the conversation to only those with whom you wish to engage.

Not much point, falls on deaf ears.
15: Discussion or reposting of deleted posts or discussion of those who are no longer registered members.

well, it is a little ambiguous that rule.......
15: Discussion or reposting of deleted posts or discussion of those who are no longer registered members.
what constitutes a discussion?
how do we know the poster is No longer registered?
and appeals used to be regularly replied to...... and acted upon... seems things have changed.....

a discussion would probably involve making reference to somone not being able to post for example.
its a bit hard to comment without seeing the actual post and of course you cant post it.
15: Discussion or reposting of deleted posts or discussion of those who are no longer registered members.
So there is nothing in there about not being able to discuss suspended/sanctioned members? I'm sure the email I got was pretty specific but if its not in the policy does it mean its OK?
We could ask on the new generation forum or whatever its called.

hmm... lots of things are open to interpretation.

Then there is this one that could cover a multitude of sins:
11: Posting material that in any way violates the eBay User Agreement or Community Values.

az, i learnt ages ago not to mention a sanctioned member or a member who could be on holidays and ive only been here a few years, its a no brainer
on 07-05-2013 09:13 PM
Have asked on that forum 🙂

No brainer or not Joz, it is incomprehensible to me that clear violations remain and cloudy ones disappear in seconds.......if one takes a dislike to anyone else, they could report every post they make, with ambiguous reasons.
