Has Community Spirit lost its Community Spirit?
Certainly feels a different place to me

yes that's true but being a tad paranoid any info they gain about me is not of any value to anyone :^O

Facebook is completely different to a chat forum like this one. At least my Facebook is. I don't know about Twitter because I don't use it.

It's not paranoia to look over your shoulder Hawk.....there might just be someone following you......the practice is the issue i.e. when they can amass information on a whole population with absolutely no legislation limiting their use of it.

I have no-one from here on my Facebook. I can't see that ever changing but if it did then it would only be one or two people. I consider Facebook a very personal place because you are sharing your private life with everyone you have added as a friend. I consider chat forums like this one impersonal and that appeals to me.

Well hawk maybe you should have kept some distance. I don't know your story and I don't have the patience to try and follow what goes on between the different groups here. But it just seems to me that your enemies (for want of a better word) know a lot about you. You should have kept your distance. Like me. 😉

Its "impersonal" to some but for others its like they live for this board.

Your private page might be private from view, but members give Facebook license over the content. For instance, when asked in 2009 Zuckerberg said:
"In reality, we wouldn't share your information in a way you wouldn't want"
By 2012 it came out that:
*Any content covered by IP (intellectual property) rights you give Facebook permission to use that content as a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free worldwide license.
Meaning:
* Any content that you add, even if it is trademarked, can be used by Facebook.
I reckon celebrities are thinking twice about what they upload these days. Apparently Instagram had a major exodus over the same terms. It just pays not to be too trusting that's all.

Some people spend far too much time here.

Unfortunately its a problem when you get involved and end up on one side of a fight, then when you don't agree with them you are then on your own in the center of both sides.
Its Ok I have survived worse things
