No not that house... the TV show House Rules.
Who's been watching that so far?

I am afraid that if you own an old house they are just a part of life.
Then add other factors - close to the beach or close to the city or if you live on Sydney sandstone and you are sure to get the big black flying varieties. They are always fun to have a round when you have interstate visitors who swear they never see cockroaches where they live.
that's where the hessian bags on the ceiling come in handy I spose. To catch the insects. Like those old canopy beds lol.

i am interested to know what happens with those units say like the one bomber and mel where doing and it wasn't finished do the people who own it have to fix it up themselves or does the show get someone in to do it.
and also what happens if the owners don't like it are they just to wear it or can they have it changed?

I wondered that as well... especially the one where the paint was already peeling off the tiles in the bathroom (obviously prep work not done properly) - that would look atrocious in a very short time.

i think those judges are way out of touch - they seem to have no concept of time or budget constraints and expect just way too much.

Yes, I agree pepe, it is just silly to expect more in such a short time and mature plants...... and....what is the point of overdoing the plantings? no room for it to grow.
I did think the rocks /gravelly stuff needed definite borders though.

i liked how it had no hard edging, it looked more natural and in keeping with a coastal home - edging would have made it look too formal imo

but rain etc will move it all across the pathways? a few well placed edges would keep it there
