No, the decider was voted on by the audience.

Adam and Lisa got critiqued for the way their windows folded though, it was Carole and Russell who were told they had it right.

However if the judges actually had a decent look it would be obvious to see that had Adam and Lisa had the windows pushed the opposite way, that to close them you'd have to squeeze in behind the spa or get into the spa to reach them.

I hated the gold buillon wallpaper and so did a lot of people on social media. I just felt it was way too much, especially with the artwork and the television also on that wall.

Trying to watch the tv with it sitting with the background of that wallpaper would do my head in.

I feel that Carole and Russell, well actually more Carole's popularity started going downhill a couple of weeks ago when she was always phoning them from the house with the garden being renovated and asking Maddi and Lloyd if they could pick up items for her whilst they were out shopping for their own items for their garden. Why couldn't she have done her own shopping for those items?

And of course her backtracking about that wall in the Barnados house really clinched it for most people. She copped a lot of angry comments with the way she handled that.

I loved Adam and Lisa, such a lovely couple. They had come a long way and deserved the win.

Just about every comment I've seen on news sites and social media say the same thing.

I would have loved to have known the public voting result.

I only watched the series at the tail end. I liked both couples but to let the public vote the end result is a bit like a popularity contest.

I thought Carol and Russell did the better job last night, I hated that wallpaper as well but it did seem to fit in and make the area look bigger.

I won't watch another program grand finale again though, I hate the way they go over and over, drama after drama, sooking and a bit more sooking, so much of it put on.

Now I want to know if it's really true they all own other properties and did they ever live in these places previously.

Carole and Russell do own a million dollar property which is currently on the market, that is fact. However if it was to sell they would lose money on it apparently. I don't know how much but I'd imagine that to buy a property worth that much you'd need a hefty deposit behind you so they would have had some $$$$ for it.

Adam was part owner of a home which he bought with his father, but he sold his share (or the house was sold, I'm unsure exactly which it is) in order to have the deposit for the home that he and Lisa now live in which was renovated during the show.

I got mixed up and thought it was Carole and Russel's window that opened the wrong way.

The vote was left to the public, and a lot of that would have been on popularity.

I'm not sure who I would have voted for. Probably Lisa and Adam because I love Adams smile. So how fickle is that? lol.

I absolutely love Adam's smile.  Does he ever not smile?

He's a lovely man.  No one could keep that up for 2 months.

And I wouldn't worry about what to watch

I imagine most people voted for Adam and Lisa simply because they went from being completely useless to delivering impeccable designs. They would have gotten my vote on this.

Carole and Russell were a little up and down with their design decisions throughout.

I loved Adams big smile too, and his cheerful nature and big booming voice with "Oh my goodness gracious." popping out all the time.

They have come a long way, especially Lisa who I thought was too much of a princess when I first saw her on the show.

I've a lot of respect for her now, she's done great.

Well obviously either couple COULD have won, martini, but there can only ever be ONE WINNER. Seeing both designs were excellent, and C&R actually got a higher score than A&L from the judges it was obviously A&L's popularity that carried the vote from the public.

However:
