How's this for an elephantine memory.
When I was about 10 (63 years ago) I noticed a comic - an American one I presume - in the newsagent's window in my little English country town. It had a lurid cover - though I only have a vague ipression of it now and was, presumably, about a character called Plastic Man, because the caption read:
South of the border down Mexico way,
Tricky Toledo had a field day
Till Plastic Man and Boozey(?) put a crimp in his style,
And justice was done where crime had run wild.
I didn't buy the comic and I have no idea about the story or any of the characters, but for some reason I never forgot that rhyme.

I like all your stories everyone.
But my mum was widowed when I was 6 and there were 5 of us.
So, no comics for us. I never did get into them.
But I understand the fascination with them.
