Checking out electricity prices, I am currently with tru energy who are now Energy Australia except no one told switch wise that!. However on the exact same rates, supply charges etc its claiming I'll save $394 odd dollars. How does that work?
Not sure I believe them there is no way we would save a penny if the rates and supply charges are the same, how misleading. Does anyone know of a more reliable site?

You can get 17% with energy Australia so ask, I did and I have but remember it is ONLY off your usage and not your whole account.
I was already with Energy Australia with a 5% discount and had to wait till that 2 year contract expired. I rang them and had to take out a new contract, complete with the 10 day cooling off period.
My meter was read just 5 days into that period and I only got the 5% discount...I was furious, but they would not budge. I did a very quick check on the other offers in our area but there was no point in using the cooling off period. I could only get a 1% better offer and it was with a company I did not want to deal with.
