Laptop batteries?

Good morning.

Do any of the wise people on here know what is best for laptop batteries lasting power?

Is it best to plug into power supply all the time except when mobile?

Is it best to use the battery more often?

Or does it make no difference?

Thank you.

Re: Laptop batteries?

Batteries are based on a chemical reaction.

Should you reduce the potential for the reacton to occur (low charge) the life of the batteries will lessen.

However, should you use the stored reaction and recharge immediately, this will create a continous reaction, improving the life of the batteries, unless a very constant use/charge is the norm. Then the life of the batteries would expire at a normal expectancy.

In short, better to use regularly and recharge regularly. Occasionally let them run low and recharge fully immediately.

Re: Laptop batteries?

The average lifespan of a lithium ion or lithium polemar battery is around 2-3 years from the date of manufacture and that is even fi it is used or not.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
