I loathe and detest winds. It doesn't have one redeeming feature that I can see, and can be just as destructive as fire. And of course you people will be aware of the fact that when you have your horrible bush fires, a wind can exacerbate the situation a hundred fold.

Sydney's a mess. Got held up in traffic this morning a huge tree blown over an intersection, happened all up and down the coast according to the traffic report.
2 ppl missing in floodwaters up on the Central Coast at Stroud, homes without power maybe up to 24 hours on the North Shore, Ferry Services cancelled.
And I slept like a log last night, something about rain on the roof, I think.
