maybe you should add this to your list of things that make you sick
That article (assuming you read it) says just as much about abattoir practices in general as well as Halal-specific slaughter.
Sadly the cruel practices identified in that article are not much different to the way animals are treated in Australian abattoirs - and that makes me sick too.
What is your point ?
Are you inferring that I would not object to this behaviour ? Wrong
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have been to two different abbatiors in Australia and have seen NOTHING LIKE THIS IN THE TREATMENT OF ANIMALS
NOTHING EVEN REMOTELY LIKE THIS

They have a shop in Sydney CBD too. yum - leaves the mass produced stuff for dead.

Lindt started flooding the Australian market a couple of years ago.
UFO - their products are often 1/2 price, or lesser discounts too.. I guess to try an cull out the competition, get a hold on the market.
There was a Lindt factory built in Sydney last year - due to start production this year. Maybe they will get halal certification so they can export the choc. to other countries!

You might want to check with Lindt................... they are halal, they are just not certified halal.
No animal products.... used other than milk and eggs.
No alcohol.
No need to check with Lindt it is well known they HAVE NOT bowed down to foreign certification of cruel torture amongst a multitute of human rights abuses, inhumane treatment and illegal practices. I support Lindt for their ethical behavior, this is one of the brands where you can buy with confidence.
Az is right there. Lindt never refused to get halal certification. They have a suitable variety of products for a halal diet.

How odd.
UFO wrote -.... HAVE NOT bowed down to foreign certification - quite clear there, which is the same as what I would have predicted the OP thought, right from the opening post.
More of a puzzle to me is where a box of chocolates, BLT, chicken & cheese rolls fits into a stict 'bean' diet.
