yep. love tuna sashimi too kopes.
Dont like sea urchin- the texture..
Ate it quite a few times whilst in Japan, being polite and being with students or colleagues..yes but no..thank you.
Also ate eel- which sounds worse than it tastes..
I thought it was interesting last night watching Georgia..that recipe would have been so detailed...I found myself thinking-how can you start a recipe without first reading it to the end?..see how well that turned out..
Amy did really well, apart from missing the 3 tongues of urchin..but I find her disconnected to the inventiveness and play that cooking can involve, though this could all be edited out..
Looking forward to tonights ep.

Yay go Smashleigh..good to see her overcome the 'mousse problem'..
Good ep tonight.
Also noticed that Ashleighs voice was a bit lower and softer- so maybe that 'tone' was just nerves??Cant wait for her confidence to match her ability..
You could tell that Roses pudding was smooth and bouncy..not nice at all, and yet she seemed to think she got great feedback- how does that work?Matthew knew he put too much much soda in, I think that would have been quite chalky to taste, if not for that sauce.
(was laughing when George licked his plate!!haha I dont know about you, but I expected Gary to do that! lol)
It was interesting to see savoury go up against dessert..

Their little pastries weren't as pretty as the ones put up by the chefs.
My MIL used to go to High Tea at the Windsor every Tuesday.
Cost for tea and those little nibblies. $120 she said!
Sorry kopes. but Billie's fault they're up. She only waved the spray oil
at those tins

Nowhere near as pretty.
Mum made a good point a few weeks ago, the show expects amateurs to go and cook something the guest chefs have taken years to perfect.
And often Masterchefers only get to see a recipe for a short period then expected to replicate. It's fun though.
I know, but Billie should be ok.
I hope she doesn't use her pin as I think she has 2 others that are more likely not lift to the challenge. Rose and Matthew.

I can't believe how the three of them managed to stuff up different
parts of the sticky date challenge.
Sticky date is the easiest thing ever. Matthew was boiling his sauce!
And he must have used a kilo of brown sugar FGS
I made sticky date pudding last weekend, so was very happy to watch
that challenge
I put fresh raspberries on mine to cut the sweetness. It was really yum

OK,Ive caught up now..just watched tonights ep- remind me, did Rose actually cook something?
I find her energy quite distracting..and thought that red team was all over the shop..I know Billies pastry was a fail, but why would the captain allocate 1 person to do such an integral job (for 2 dishes) that needs 2 people doing it??I could see it a mile off..Sorry, but I think the captain was at fault as well..There really were only 2 dishes in the red teams cook that were rateable..
Reynold was impressive and led the team to victory by being a good leader and team player..I forgot hes only 21! The red teams little morsels looked very good- the attention to detail was quite impressive. I dont think Ive ever been at a high tea where a mousse popsicle was offered! watch out, it might make high tea a thing!
At this stage of the comp, the shakey ones are being shook up..
Yes, I agree with your mum kopes, and they have all come a long way since the beginning, though some further than others..
Please Billie: dont use your pin.
