It's a traditional fare, first herrings, prawns with egg n mayo and grav lax with sweet mustard.
Then crumbed fish with remolade, fish cakes and salads.
Followed by Danish meatballs with red cabbage, fresh hot pate with champignons and finally roast pork with crackling n potatoes.
Then Danish pastries followed by cheese platter and coffee n chocolates. Too much really.
I also hope Anna is the one to go as Ashleigh n Billie are both very good. But worried for Ashleigh.
Gosh kopes- that sounds delicious, (aside from the herrings-sorry) and too much in an awesome way!! Is the smogasbord only offered on the weekends? Im imagining beautiful table settings..and birchwood and lots of glass..?
Im a bit worried for Ashleigh too- I hope she can get her nerves under control...fingers crossed.

Yes, very Scandinavian. I think you mean beechwood.
The smorgasbord is only on once a month but otherwise it runs as a restaurant from Wed - Sun, I think.

Thanks for the addy kopes- and yes, youre right I did mean beechwood..birch was on my mind, as I was working on some photos I took of a forest I saw from the train travelling from Paris to Amsterdam..
Gee MC was good tonight...at one point I thought Ashleigh was going to walk out...I thought Marcus Wareing was very kind and firm, which she needed..It was quite difficult to watch her struggle with her lack of self confidence. It feels like Im watching her mature..
And Billie was awesome! Shes a natural.

I think Ashleigh, Billie, Jessica, Jessie, Reynold, all have it in them to go all the way.
For me, Georgia has talent but not in all areas and sometimes cracks with dishes she knows well.
Here is a handy link to see who is remaining - http://tenplay.com.au/channel-ten/masterchef/contestants

dunno if the link below will work or not. Billies parents dairy is in the centre of the link. The pasture improved
paddocks(greener than green) surround the dairy.
The farm is a 4th generation dairy farm dating back to 1860 or so
Wait till she brings out her heirloom peach recipes/desserts yummmmmmmmo

Thanks for the info colic, (the link does work) those desserts sound delicious..love cooked fruit
I thought Jessica did a great job last night- Nick Holloway seemed to be quite nervous with all the attention, Shannon was teasing him a bit..which was pretty funny.
What I would like to see changed when going for the pin is that the contestant gets to choose the ingredients without the visiting chef knowing what they are..the contestant then gets to cook for 15 minutes extra, and then the ingredients are revealed to the visiting chef.
The way it plays now, is that the visiting chef gets 15 minutes to work out a recipe- dont you think thats an unfair advantage?
Oh, and I think the visiting chef ought to have to choose ingredients that havent been used by the contestant- I thought it was pretty lame when NH chose the quail as well- hes probably cooked them a lot.

I agree with the bit about the chef not being able to stand there for 15 minutes
figuring out a recipe.
I've said that all along - no fair! And yes, the visiting chef should get leftovers.
Jessica did very well last night. Not flustered at all, even when she burnt the carrots.
Is anyone going to win a pin this year?
