Masterchef 2020

Anyone watching it ?

Great to see some earlier faces and good memories.

I always liked Jess, Callum, and Reynold.

Very smart to have Gordon Ramsay kick it off seeing as the old judges are no longer with the show.

Looks like some interesting recipes to start off with.

Ok, will try to remember not to spoil it for you.

Some very good dishes to start with but not too keen on the new judges. Just not the same.

I might warm to it. Smiley Happy

Re: Masterchef 2020

I watched it. I can't see how the dishes can get much better, so there's unlikely to be a learning curve.

Understandable, as this year's batch are almost all professional chefs.

The entire point of the franchise is for amateur chefs to compete, not failed alumni. Maybe they didn't get enough applicants. Maybe that's why they really got rid or Gary, George and Matt.

Re: Masterchef 2020

Quite agree dave. It's theme was meant for amateurs to rise up. The real appeal.

But  Mastechef is certainly a pleasant change from all the rubbish bickering competition shows.

Familiar scenes and sounds brings back cosy memories for me in this show.

This season is more like the return of the champs to see what they can do. Smiley Happy

Re: Masterchef 2020

I worked tonight, and am working tomorrow night, so will catch up when I can. I'm curious to see how the new judges go.

Mr Tippy said he wasn't interested in watching with the new judges, but if we watched one of the overseas versions, we'd be seeing different judges that we aren't familiar with. I'm happy to give them a chance.

Billie Mckay is my second cousins daughter. Yak to her most days at the bottom pub at Bowra....when it is open.

She is a very unassuming and humble person.....puts on a good feed too at the family gatherings.

Her mum and dad are legends as well.

Billie seems such a beautiful person, one of my all time faves in Masterchef.

tippy, I'm not keen on the new judges but with Gordon there makes a little more vibrant.

Re: Masterchef 2020

It's refreshing to see a cooking show all about the cooking, without the drama (like MKR)

All the judges seemed super nice. Even Gordon.
