The GS survived he's still under treatment and the vet has told them he can go home this afternoon, he had 5 ticks on him in the previous week so no wonder he was a sick boy.

It is worrying Deb, he lives on property in the bush. He said he goes over him every day he has all the bells and whitles tick shampoos collars and potions, but nothing seems to deter them.

Ticks are not easy to find, especially on dark coloured dogs. When I live on the CC I nearly lost my one of my sheppies to tick, by the time you see them on the animals the damage has usually been done. Thankfully there aren't ticks down here, snake are my biggest worry now.
