After several hours during the week clearing and cleaning up a messy garden my day started like this

Freddie, was this the fellow who did your painting?
I thought he was just a local handyman type person, not a qualified builder/plumber/tiler. Did you actually check his licenses before engaging him?
It is many years since my bathroom was renovated but there were separate tradies for the tiling and the plumbing as well as installing the showerscreen. The whole process was co-ordinated by the contractor who did the job.

Debra, hope you find some lovely things ๐ and have a great day.
freddie you don't need this, hope it gets sorted quickly
joono, those cracks look like they are big enough to seek a professional opinion before patching
not right in a near new house on a slab (back to bathrooms)
Deb, used to be a professional musician so like to go when I can
watch a lot of tv too ๐
Glad you are feeling better Sandy

My lemon tree has new growth! So not a dud after all. Just a late (18 months) bloomer. And pretty sure there are signs of buds ๐

OK, you have all guilted me into it.
I checked my paperwork from when the house was built and this is what it says.
"For up to 10 years after practical completion our Structural Guarantee covers your home. This covers failure of footings brickwork, roof frame and other structural components only of your new home. If you need to make a claim we ask that your details your concerns in writing including your job number and contact details. We will then arrange for inspection and action as required."
10 years! We have three months left because hand over was 4/3/05 ๐ As luck would have it, ex arrived today just for the week. I will take photos of all the faults that I can find and he will get on to them because I hate doing that stuff.

Today was an outside day, all the succulents are now out of the hot house and sitting in fresh air, tomorrow I will sort them into groups and do any necessary re potting, pruning, maintenance etc. before they are moved to their new home. I also potted up a pile of geraniums that I have grown from cuttings and now needed to be in their own pots. I also did some re arranging on the front verandah so I could fit in my new seat. So far I am happy with the result, it will look even better once the whole verandah has been re painted but that's going to have to wait for a while.

Freddie, I am soooo glad that I was waiting until he had finished your jobs before calling! I can't afford any shoddy repairs
I will probably just try one of the handymen in the yellow pages for my little jobs... though OH appears to have had a change of heart and is actually agreeing that spending a little cash to fix up some things might actually be a good idea before we put the house on the market, so he may take over that part
I have been so busy trying to get everything spruced up - I have all but finished all the front gardens, they only need some mulching now and should look lovely in a couple of weeks. I am sad though - the last big storm flattened some of my lilies - I salvaged one stem and the smell through the house is heavenly!
Already started on the declutter / packing away as well. I HATE packing. I told the OH that this time, he had better be home to help! The last 2 moves I have pretty well done it all on my own (he seems to think packing 2 whole boxes constitutes helping!!!) I wish we had the luxury of removalists that pack up for you.....
Lloyds- or is it Lights? I live in a town, (same one as Freddie!) but in a quiet cul de sac street on the edge. We are surrounded by trees and heaps of birdlife, I love that and will miss it when we move.
One good thing, when we move we will be closer to the theatres in Sydney I do love going to shows!

I have had a busy day here, lots of yard work and clearing out from the house, excess clutter that I really don't need.................. and it's kerbside collection tomorrow, most of it is gone already, one person's trash is another's treasure?
One more stint and I should be clutter free!
I attended miss 7's musical recital today, she did 2 solo pieces on the piano, without sheet music. Pretty good effort, 15 min lesson a week and no practice at home! I suspect she has a photographic memory, hope she makes good use of it, lol.
