Oscar Pistorius - Release?

Surely not!     After 10 months!!     Is that all Reeva was worth?

He is now waiting for the South African prison authorities to decide whether to grant him conditional release, possibly from August.

I hope they listen to Reeva's mum and keep him in for the full 5 years.

He should have gotten more

Re: Oscar Pistorius - Release?

The way that this farce has panned out, it won't be long until he'll be competing again. His trial was a cross between Gilbert & Sullivan's 'Trial By Jury', and the courtroom scene from 'Alice In Wonderland', and now this. Ten paltry months is tantamount to him getting off scot free. No wonder the Steenkamp family are furious.

It was never 100% proved that he was guilty, was it??

Give us a break - he was convicted.

A lot of people are convicted that are then released years later having found they didn't do it.

He was convicted of culpable homicide equivalent to manslaughter and sentenced to 5 years in prison.

Another example of women being less valuable than men. He should rot in prison for life.
