Paying for Funeral

I decided to open a bank account and put money aside to pay for my funeral.

When I mention it to people most of them say "But you would die for years yet."

Today Tony said "So you can't die before you have saved up enough money "

Tony thinks like me.

Maybe I'm strange, but I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone - apart from making sure they have left enough to cover expenses - would want to leave any instructions at all regarding their funeral. You won't be there to see it, and you won't know - or care - whether or not your wishes were complied with. Why notl eave it to your loved ones to arrange the funeral that will be most meaningful to them - and if you think it is going to cause arguments appoint one family member to make the final arrangements

TGSE my Mum has arranged her funeral as she had special requests 1 was that she would be cremated and then her ashes will be buried in the same grave as my Dad, it has been arranged that after we have left my dads coffin will be opened and her creamains will be scattered inside. 2 that her wedding ring is to be removed at time of death and given to my eldest sister.  Although she has paid for everything the rest she has left to us which is the service, hymns and who we notify.

I want a recycled Card board coffin, the grand children can put Graffiti on it, the brighter the better.

I am going to have loud Rock and roll played with one slow sweet song.

I do not want religious funeral, going to be cremated and ashes out to Sea with my husbands ashes and all my animals ashes, we will drift and dream forever 🙂

Yarramundi in the lower Blue Mountains will be the site of the first human body farm in Australia and the southern hemisphere.

A body farm, or taphonomic facility, observes and researches the decay of human corpses.

The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) owns the 49-hectare site and will operate the 200-metre by 250-metre facility on Springwood Road near Lynchs Creek after its completion this year.

UTS professor of forensics Shari Forbes has worked in body farms in the United States and is looking forward to her first such job in Australia.

I'm not sure but I think if you leave your body to science to aid the understanding of the human body you don't have to pay anything.

I have a couple of friends who intended to leave their bodies to science and they have been told that theirs are not needed.

There are a few reasons why a body cannot be accepted

Not in the geographical acceptance area, recent trauma, autopsy, notifiable disease, chemotherapy, some infections, less than 40k or more than 80k at time of death, resident of UK or Ireland 1980 to 1996, few other reasons.

Otherwise they need as many as possible.
