Do you shoot your noisy miners?

I want one of those guns that shoot hundreds of little pellets.

That would teach the neighbour cat as well to come into our garden and hunt native animals.

I wouldn't advise that, against the law in about 5 ways.

Get a trap, wire trap.

Or soak bread in sleeping tablets and feed them that, then get rid of them.

Yes, they are a PITA.

I don't shoot anything native. Shooting feral species is to help the natives. I have shot heaps of house sparrows. The pair of piping shriek that also lived in the backyard were smart enough to realize that they weren't at risk and would happily walk around while I shot the sparrows

To the OP

I think you are thinking of the Common "INDIAN" Mynah, which is nicknamed the Noisy Mynah or Indian Mynah.

Problem is, there is a native that is called a Noisy Mynah that is NOT the pesky, noisy bird you get in your gardens.

The Common Mynah is a pest.

My post above was related to buying a shotgun and using it within your back garden in a built up area.

Illegal on all counts.

And no, I am not against doing illegal things, just some are guaranteed to getting your jailed.
