This is not aimed at anyone in particular. I'm just trying to think of ways to keep all the cs'ers interested and contributing. The thread seems to be moving away from the original purpose of taking the time out to appreciate whats around us everyday.
Should there be a limit on how many photos a person can post? e.g. 10
Should there be limit on how many 'old' pictures can be posted. e.g. 5 pics from disk/album, plus 5 new photos
or 5 'old' photos and unlimited new pics.
I know sometimes it's not possible to get out and take something new for the challenge (although Joz always manages to find something that fits the theme) so postng a "here's one I prepared earlier" pic is the alternative and keeps the thread going. Personally I miss the happy snaps from people that spot something on their way to work, or in their freezer, or garden etc
What do you all think? Any ideas, thoughts, opinions.....
If you don't want to post your opinions here, please message me.
oh, and don't forget to vote today

The thing about newness is what Pimpy said about appreciating what's around us...at the time. That's where it comes in, I think...otherwise, true, if a pic works it works. Guess it is to do with adding that little extra layer of pleasure in looking around and seeing things differently for that theme.
with a limit, Pimpy, if it is a strict one per day, that could be tricky if people are not at the PC each day but have a few pics, or have not had the time yet to take that shot(s)
if there is a limit, a fixed number overall might be easier.

yep, I didn't mean one only post per day, I'm just throwing figures around.

The idea of no discussion on the photo thread didn't work
Ya reckon? I think there has been a significant reduction in the amount of chit chat.
Probably a reduction, but some have even been chatting
about non-photo stuff. Got sick of scrolling, stopped the kudos

Cool, just checking ๐

I don't mind whatever will be decided. I can not always go out to take photos and have used some old ones if they fitted the theme. This time I had nothing to contribute, but I had fun looking at all the different photos and selecting to kudo only some unusual ones. I will continue to participate either with posting relevant photos or just giving kudos.
It is one of the best threads every week. Entertaining and certainly a great diversion from the daily rat race. What I would like to see is that everyone writes about where the picture has been taken or what it is. Also, I too like holiday snaps of places I have never been to or never will go to in my life.
Happy shooting all, (but not from the hip) Erica

I agree with Erica. A limit of say 6 overall per theme per person is ok by me.
Enjoying the Photo Challenge immensely.

I think a mix between old and new is good, but I'd hate to see too many rules... This thread may be all that's needed.
I think 10 photos is heaps or even a couple per day is fair enough, but I'd hate to stifle peoples' enthusiasm.
If someone has several all in a row, I tend to only kudo my favourite one, maybe two - even though they may all be stunning!
They are doing themselves out of a vote. But that's just me.
I would like to see some more creative plays on the theme, some of the photos are so professional, I think some silliness brings it back to its roots and keeps it real

I think it's just fine as it is, it's a favourite thread for me and the more the merrier. Like looking at the photo's of others - I can't always take new photo's - less rules the better.

JMO but I thought the whole idea of the thread is that it is meant to be a "challenge"....it is even stated in the title.
To me that means thinking of the theme and taking the shot the enter, not looking through old pics to find one that suits. Which I have been guilty of too sometimes, except the last two comps I entered, I put the effort into those to no avail as it seemed ๐
I reckon stick to it being a "challenge". There are other photo threads to post in for all the nice old pics.
