RIP Doc Neeson

I misted over a bit this morning when Jonesy and Amanda played a collage of interviews they'd done with him over the years then played "am I ever gonna see your face again".

RIP Doc Neeson

Its a bit ironic, but a week ago I went to my local beachside coffee shop for a morning starter. Sitting at the table next to me was one of the Brewster Brothers. He was having a very animated disscusion with friends about the rift between Angels band members and the legal challenges that where underway regards song rights, use of the band name etc. He  commented that Doc would never take to the stage again. The converstaion went on for around half an hour and I managed to drag my coffee out that long. As a young fella, I played in bands that where trying to crack the big time. We where moderatly succesfull and where playing the same venues as the major bands, doing covers of Angels songs amongst others, with the Angels being one of my idols. The converstation I had overheard at the coffee shop troubled me and left me thinking about lifes curve balls for several days. Doc was definately the ultimate showman and the bands songwriters certainly penned some absolute classic songs. The news of Docs passing is a very sad loss for Australian Music.
