Last couple or mornings there has been a layer of frost on my windscreen. Would like advice on best way to clear it quickly.

Start engine--put heater on screen setting-wait a minute--all done.
I find spraying the windscreen-windows and mirrors with norrmal
household window cleaner the night before helps.........................Richo.

I just grab the dog towel off the back and use that, then use the wipers to clear it off more. then when you are driving put your heater on for a bit.
Where I am we dont get that many frosts.

Cover the windscreen with a towel or something the night before.
The trick to keeping the windscreen from icing up again when your driving is to make sure it is dry. If you do you use water to melt the frost try and dry the windscreen before you take off. Don't pour boiling water on to it, it might crack the windscreen if it already has any cracks or chips.
Credit type cards make good ice scrapers.

you'd have to be careful if you were squatting, that your bum didn't get stuck to the windscreen

someone flogged me XE falcon once and peed on the windsheild, not sure why it was summer, lol
good point pimpy,& i used to use a rag too soaked in warm water depended on the thickness of the ice
