what happened to it?
went to the beach and about 1 % of people wore a hat.
we played the game "spot the hat".
I don't mind if other people want to die but they should do it before they procreate to keep up evolution.

Horror stories. Young 'uns in my family are taught to slip, slop, slap
Cancer Council should replay it on TV, IMO

Although not on topic. Due to the heat, I notice that the races have been put back a few hours today down South.

I dread to think how many i would have had if i had not worn sunscreen.
Im always putting sunscreen on my kidds and they always wear a hat outside
How old are you daydream? I remember people being smothered in Coppertone, LeTan and baby oil and basically frying *shudder.
Glad there is, and I do believe there is, more awareness these days. As you say kids wear hats and sunscreen.
Moved up to Qld and skin up here is definitely more aged than southern counterparts.

Don't forget coconut oil, Skol (loved the smell)............sizzzzzzzzle.
Remember the Coppertone advert with the baby's knickers being pulled by a dog(?) showing a bare behind? probably wouldn't be allowed these days.

Im 41.
My parents immigrated here from the UK and got really badly burnt in the first few days so they were very strict with the sunscreen on us kids.
My melonoma was the on the underside of my arm. Its left a dent in my arm 7cm long. Once you get a melonoma, you are at a much higher risk of getting others so now if i see any freckle even slighty change appearance, i get it removed.
Unfortunatly for me, ive developed an allergy to Aussie sunscreens. I have to get my sunscreen from the UK. Its 50+ and works brilliant. I havent had one tiny spot on sunburn since using it

Well I have 10 years on you, but do remember the English getting very very pink!
I was born here and we had no idea at all really of the damage the sun could do.
Yes we saw the fair skinned ones burn but that was their problem. Luckily for me, I have always hated the heat and never saw the sense of sun baking and all that sand getting everywhere.
I do see the effects living up here in NQ though. I'd love six months a year with everything covered over with winter woolies. Skin exposed all year round up here. That's gotta be bad.
