So euthanasia is wrong but.....

Leaving someone on life support and cutting off any hydration is right and legal?

Known as 'withdrawl of life support'

Do people die from the food or lack of hydration or because the vetilator being shut off?

If it is the removal of nutrition, how on earth could you let somene die from lack of food and hydration?

Isn't  the withdrawl of life support a way to steal someone assets, just as euthanasia is accused of?

Why is euthanasia wrong? What is wrong with offering the terminally ill a relief from their suffering?

They are going to die anyway; that's what terminally ill means . . no cure . . death inevitable.

If someone is being kept alive on a ventilator because they cannot breathe for themself, then turning the ventilation off wwill result in death from suffocation.

If a person can breathe on their own yet cannot feed themselves and feeding support is withdrawn then that person will eventually die from the results of dehydration, well before they starve to death.

Withdrawal of life supports is really a sort of passive euthanasia as death is the inevitable  result.

Usually someone who is terminal may elect to have life support withdrawn, but will specify pain relief and hydration.

The decision to turn off the ventilator is somewhat balanced by seeing if the person can breathe on their own.  It can happen.

As for Euthanasia, I'm all for it.  Cared for someone who was terminally ill for some years and what she went through I wouldn't ask my dogs to accept..  Thankfully animals can have euthanasia, and I see no reason why a terminally ill person can't have that blessing too.

It has been shown that give a dying patient the right to end their own life gives them back their dignity and their freedom of choice.

These two things will often make them feel they can get through another day and another, simply because it is their choice how long they want to keep going and when they want to die.

In my opinion that euthanasia is not an acceptable form of relief for dying people is controlled by people who have never known serious illness, severe pain and total loss of dignity.
