that we all stopped commenting or passing judgement on posts or threads that we don't like?
eBay is a large and diverse community, There are always going to be some that like some things and some that don't.
So, as long as the post/thread is within eBay's guidleines, is it time to just let people post what and how they want?
Perhaps if you do find something offensive, how about PM'ing the person involved to politely explain your position instead of doing it in a manner that may cause humiliation.
*Disclaimer, the above option did not work very well for me, so in no way can I advise that this is the best option, but just a suggestion. LOL.

No - is my vote. i believe in free speech but i think It might be time to just scroll past or ignore negative comments made by the offendables...or perhaps not...as long as youre posting within board guide-lines..& theres certainly no need to submit and SR.

I have been called all kind of things on this board, from a 'so-called' writer to a fatty elephant to having a long vituperative string of abuse hurled at me - all in French would you believe? - containing graphic and disgusting accusations including the suggestion that my mother does unspeakable things to bears in the forest.:^O
Whilst I might scratch my head in bewilderment at the mentality of someone who could post that kind of rubbish, it would never occur to me either to feel bullied by it or to lose any sleep over it.
Recently a good friend posted that she found a thread I had started distasteful, I was a bit surprised that she felt that way, but it was her honest opinion, I didn't feel the need to criticise or belittle her for holding it, and as far as I know it hasn't in any way affected our friendship. That's the way friends should be imo TGSE
I suppose some may just call a spade a spade no matter how or even if it affects them personally?
