If he is not interested in restoring a relationship he needs to tell her so there is no misunderstanding and that he only wants communication that directly involes the child and then only to arrange hand over

I think that him going to the Family Law Court and applying for 50 % access of the child and all the discussions around that should have got through to her that the relationship is over.  But NO she still expects to be able to get him to come back.

So you think it is perfectly OK to sire a child and then decide he does not want the relationship?  I feel sorry for her; she obviously thought that she and her child mean something to him.  End of relationship that 1 person does not want to end is always difficult.  How old is the child?

He will probably have to say that any communication and  requests for anything should be done through the solicitors.

I agree with the_hawk*, he needs to TELL her its over.  Has he actually done that?  You might think because of the custody issue and courts its clear he doesn't want to go back. But as has been proven time and again some people are as dumb as dog poo

So because he the man is is wrong.

Well she was the one who kicked him out, more than once and the final straw was when she was srugged to the eyeball on ice tried to stab him.  She was given a a 12 months good behaviour bond for that.

Could you trust her after that ??

But everyone has trusted her to have the child in her care.   Surely social services, or some such, must be involved.

Have the Courts determined child maintenance, etc.?

Unfortunately, we get dribs and drabs of info and base answers on that.

They sound like a match made in heaven.

Seriously, he needs some legal advice, she needs counselling................... and the child needs protection.
