A Strategy for Australia’s National Security?
To me it smacks of a scare campaign, not unlike the "War on Terror"
Is this an election panphlet one has to ask.
Perhaps JOOLYA!!! should be concentrating in the tangible needs of Australians and not nebulous fabrications.
Border security would be a good place to start.
If you have not read the above mentionmed statement you can get ir here.
Strong and Secure: A Strategy for Australia's National Security

Given that it is 48 pages long, i would hardly call it a 'statement' or an an 'election pamphlet'.
It seems a well thought out policy paper to me. Not really comparable to Abbotts media based 'war on terror' scare campaign that had no substance to it.
I'm not sure what your issue is? ?:|

And BTW, a summary of border security strategies on page 18.

It has absolutely no quantitive content whatsoever. It is a fabrication by the spin doctors, voluminous as it is, it is an exercise in meaningless verbosity to try to confuse people who do not know how to sort the wheat from the chaff.
The use of phraseology to say something that has no meaning is the tool in trade for people who have nothing else to offer but empty words.

I still don't understand what the issue is.
Part 1 is a standard strategy document - a broader vision is outlined, then objectives are stated, and then each objective has a brief overview and then a summary of strategies.
There is probably a 500 page document that covers all of the strategies that each department affected by the document would have to feed their own strategies into in order to accomplish the broader vision.
Part 2 is a general assessment of the environment
And the references to the more substantial documents are referenced at the end (see Notes).
Perhaps you don't recognise it for what it is because it is a clearly outlined policy - you know, that thing that Abbott doesn't seem to understand about?

First of all I haven't read the article.
So without having that insight I will have a stab in the dark and say its all about why they need to further erode our rights, privacy and fredoms and come up with new laws and policies to do so?
