Martin, I don't know about phones, but you need to look at who someone was replying to.

Lurker was replying to Chamo, not you.

Oh, okay.
You can't see who replied to whom.
It's just in order of time posted.
I don't understand why this forum is the way it is.
Others I comment on aren't this basic and this hasn't been updated for years.

I met a woman who was physically violent.
Especially when drinking.
She was determined to be with me but with much effort I was able to avoid her and end all contact.
I didn't bother going to the Police to report the assualts because it wasn't worth the effort and I didn't want to be exposed to potentially not being believed or being ridiculed.

And that is that, you just walked away.  Many women cannot "just walk away".  Many try but especially when there are kids they are not able to legally.

I once had a stalker; he threatened me and my little child (not his)  but of-course never in front f witnesses.  I moved several times but he always found me, because people thought he was such a lovely guy, and I am being hysterical, so they told him where I was.   I cut off contact with all people who told him where I was.  Then I moved to the other side of the country and he found me through a club I belonged to.  I did go to the police and they laughed at me; one actually said I should be flattered.  OK, it is not quite as bad now; policemen would not laugh, but that does not mean they do not smirk behind the women's back.

Interestingly, when mentally ill person kills strangers; like the guy who drove his car into crowd in Burke Street, or the Flinder street station crossing, or the one who stabbed two women nobody says poor guy, there must have been something done to him to make him act this way.  But a man burns his family alive and immediately people look for excuses, and ways to blame the woman!!!!!

I am sure all these men had something happened to them to act the way they did, and all should have had psychiatric help.  So, call your parlimentarian and tell them we need more money put into mental health.

Here you replied to yourself = you clicked on the REPLY button on your own post.  If you click on the REPLY button on the post you are actually replying to it will show on the top as in this screen shot:

If the post you are replying to is way back it is also wise to click on the QUOTE button which in the blue field top right of your post and that way people know what are you replying to:

Kazumi, it wasn't as easy as that.
We live in the same town.
She knew where I lived
I'm noy saying that it was as difficult for me as it obviously was for you.
I know how bad it is when the guy is a nut job.
We had to hide from my father and he was probably planning to kill us before he eventually killed himself MN
Thankfully mum's good friend took us in and stopped my father from getting to us.
She physically had to stop him coming into her house to search for us while we were hiding in a bedroom.

Kazumi, there's no reply button on the app version.
There's an add comment button at the bottom of the comment but it doesn't make the comment a reply to the comment you're replying to
Apparently it just always replies to the OP

Re: Take it off her

The format really needs updating badly. Half the confusion wouldn't happen, if they fixed it.

It was better years ago, including the smilies.

Re: Take it off her

I just checked my new phone.

There's no way of knowing who replied to who, even using the full site.

Martin, using the app has a lot of problems.  Especially if you're buying.

I won't use my phone for ebay, it's too darn hard for an old biddy.
