Re: Terror & Terrorists Attacks and Anything to do with Thread

Just to relate my previous post to the topic at hand. Religion is its self a kind of terrorism. It's a terrosism of the mind, making threats and making promises. The threat is for deviance from a belief, and the promise is delivered (ultimately, although apparently not in this world) for accepting that belief.

it's terrifying that people could do that to others, in full knowledge of what they do.

Tell me, my Canadain friends

was it sunny morning tuesday all over again?

Was it men in caves, or some false flag game?

I guess it's still a terrorist attack just the same.

They don't hate us, because we're free

They just don't like forgin governments killing their whole familys

or knocking down the places they worked so hard to build

I wish I could offer them a protective shield.

I have not seen it myself, from those looking like their up to no good

But I suffered as a victim of it from police in the neighborhood

who would take my money, house and car

while I'm waiting helpless behind bars.

Continue to watch and follow me homeless on the streets

looking for what else of value they can take from me

Something to consider in this topic I address

think about who is the real terrorist.

Re: Terror & Terrorists Attacks and Anything to do with Thread

A huge loss  when we lost this fantastic author and thinker.

As for terrorism? we are faced with the rise of ISIL and all it's many abhorrent manifestation's. We are seeing horrific attacks in western countries on innocent people, mainly military personal and police officers and the attack on Canada's parliament.

We, all of us are appalled at the madness sweeping the world and none of us want to blame the mostly peace loving Muslims who inhabit many western countries, who fled from the Taliban or ISIL and other  radical groups and the inter Islamic wars which we have all seen after the Arab spring, the Muslims killing Muslims  and the rise of the Muslim brotherhood, now outlawed in Egypt.

What we are seeing is an Islamic uprising of the worst possible kind and they are using social media to inveigle young men and even upper middle class young men to join them, some as young as 17 as suicide bombers.

What most of us would like is truthful and organized reporting  and then when they have the information they can then say its terror and ISIS related, that way no group is getting demonized.

But the sad fact is the terror attacks we are witness to nearly every day  is terror related,  enacted by radical Islamists called on by ISIL to do their work.

We have to be aware that this is a movement that is sweeping the western world, young men are joining them, sadly most of these young men will be killed in this war not really understaning what this is all about just being brainwashed.

Thousands of Rohingya Muslims flee Myanmar: NGO

Thousands of Rohingya Muslims have been forced to flee Myanmar over the past ten days amid a renewed crackdown on the minority group in the Southeast Asian country, an NGO says.

Chris Lewa, director of the Rohingya advocacy group Arakan Project, said on Saturday that at least 8,000 Rohingyas have fled Myanmar’s northern state of Rakhine on cargo ships for neighboring countries since October 15.

The mass exodus comes amid a campaign of arrests by the government which has caused panic among Myanmar’s Rohingya Muslim community.

Rohingyas could face indefinite detention under a new government plan that requires them to either accept ethnic reclassification and register as Bengalis or be detained.

Local authorities have reportedly rounded up a number of community and religious leaders and tortured some of them to death.

Myanmar’s 1.3 million Muslims, who are denied citizenship, are said to be one of the world’s most persecuted communities.

Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar have faced torture, repression and neglect since the country's independence in 1948.

The Myanmar government has been repeatedly criticized by human rights groups for failing to protect the Rohingya Muslims.

Hundreds of Rohingyas have been killed and over 140,000 displaced in attacks by extremist Buddhists over the past two years.

Re: Terror & Terrorists Attacks and Anything to do with Thread

People who have political agendas can use religion to try to justify all kinds of horrific actions.

Just as I don't paint all Muslims as terrorists, I am sure that you are not trying to paint all Buddhists as such.

It just goes to show how religion poisons everything.  There are people who claim to be oh, so religious and pious and yet their actions would make the devil blush for shame at his inefficacy.

Listen to what they say, but don't forget to observe what they do.

This goes for those who make appeals to religion as much as it applies to those who are are political leaders.

Bill Shorten wants a "big Australia"  . . .  a dramatic increase in population over the next few decades. How is that going to benefit the average working person?

It won't benefit me to see my roads clogged with extra traffic and the agricultural land around my town being bulldozed to make room for more housing while we have to import more food because we are (curiously) producing less.

Our politicians terrorise us on a daily basis, and the difference between right and left is becoming so blurred that I no longer know who to vote for.

When our political parties offer us only an apparent alternative, but not a real one, then any thinking person should be trembling in fear and terror.

IS extremists ‘have murdered 200 tribesmen’ in Iraq

THE Islamic State jihadist group has in recent days executed more than 200 members of an Iraqi tribe that fought against it, officials and a tribal leader say.

Accounts varied as to the exact period in which the Sunni Albu Nimr tribesmen were killed in various areas of Iraq’s Anbar province, but the executions were all said to have been carried out within the last 10 days.

Police Colonel Shaaban al-Obaidi said there were more than 200 people killed, while Faleh al-Essawi, the deputy head of the Anbar provincial council, put the toll at 258.

The victims, “including women and children, all of them from the Albu Nimr tribe,” were killed “during the past three days,” Essawi said.

“Anyone who carries the Nimrawi family name on his personal ID” is targeted and killed by IS, he added, referring to the name carried by members of the tribe.

Sheik Naim al-Kuoud al-Nimrawi, a leader of the tribe, said that 381 of its members were killed “from the 24th of last month until today.”

IS extremists lined up and shot dead at least 50 tribesmen, women and children in Iraq’s Anbar province Sunday, officials said, the latest mass killing committed by the group.

There, the militant group killed at least 40 men, six women and four children, lining them up and publicly killing them one by one, Sheikh Naim al-Gaoud, a senior figure in the targeted Al Bu Nimr tribe, told The Associated Press.

Another 17 people were kidnapped by the militant group, he said.

An official with the Anbar governor’s office corroborated the account, speaking on condition of anonymity as he was not authorised to brief journalists.

SHOCK DEVELOPMENT: IS acquires air defence missile system capable of shooting down passenger airline...

IS has overrun large areas of Anbar, and the killings are likely aimed at discouraging resistance from powerful local tribes, who will be key to any successful bid to retake the province.

Pro-government forces have suffered a string of setbacks in Anbar in recent weeks.

That has prompted warnings that the province, which stretches from the borders with Jordan and Saudi Arabia to the western approach to Baghdad, could fall entirely.

The militant group has overrun a large part of Anbar province in its push to expand its territory across Iraq and Syria.

HOME SUPPORT: Facebook riddled with Australian Muslims supporting IS

The UN mission in Baghdad said that at least 1273 Iraqis were killed in violence in October, a slight increase compared to last month amid the Islamic State group’s assault

Witnesses say 'ISIS' threats made before shooting outside Sydney Islamic prayer centre

Occupants of a car shouted “ISIS will live forever” and “we’ll kill you” at an Islamic prayer centre in Sydney's southwest just hours before a man was shot outside early this morning.

The 47-year-old and his wife and children were leaving the prayer room on Rosedale Avenue, Greenacre about 1.15am when he was shot at by a person in a passing car.

He suffered pellet wounds to his face and shoulder during the attack.

Witnesses have told 9NEWS that earlier in the evening a car drove past the centre and the occupants yelled threats and then returned a short time later to make more threats.

"They drive past and they made the threat 'ISIS will live forever', this and that, 'you Shia dogs' and then they drove off," one witness said.

"About 11-11.30 they made the same threat, then they said they were going to come back and 'we'll kill you, shoot you'."

It is unknown if the same car was involved in both incidents.

The injured man, who worked at the prayer centre, was dragged off the street and into the walled prayer hall, where members performed first aid until paramedics arrived.

Police are yet to speak with the injured man, but it is believed his family and children witnessed the shooting.
