To the New Lithium Moderators, Thank you for bringing balance to the Ebay forum

Over the last few years this place has continued to spiral to low depths of despair

I have observed the fairness you deploy in your moderation and it is a breath of fresh air!

Past Forum members have started to return as evidenced by most here so Kudo's to you!

if they were truly anti ebay they would have set up a new auction site, not a forum, so i'm thinking it was probably more a case of being anti a biased moderation system and they left because they couldn't get a fair go against those who didn't want them around and they are seeing the balance has now been tipped and the 'power' has been taken away and they may just get a fair go .

So? So, the point is those mentioned who made one or two posts on one day lately were not 'scared off' or affected by the moderation or other posters in any way. They left because they did not like the 'Paypal only' push. Innuendo that it was anything else is just that, innuendo.

That's exactly right Prim.

There was a new auction site set up but it didn't work out.

The forum is still going.  It was initially set up because members were anti ebay and anti Paypal and the sellers amongst them were against being forced to use paypal to accept payments.

It had nothing to do with moderation.

Nice thread OP. Good to see positive opening posts about the improved moderation system.

I can't believe others are speaking on behalf of past members though (those that are don't even appear to be friends with them now or in the past), and are continuing putting their own spin on why those previous posters may or may not have stopped posting here a few years ago.  Same group, same dredging up the past.

From what I have read posted here by them, they have indicated  the new moderation system has encouraged them to post again.

They did try another auction site but it wasn't successful 🙂 and no, they didn't leave because of moderation, but because they were protesting, unsuccessfully, against eBay and PayPal.

It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen on these boards. eBay created a whole new forum for them to protest in.. and in they went, posting miles and miles of hysteria. Suddenly, eBay deleted the whole forum hahaha! So funny!

A much fairer playing field. I never report but I went in the other day to see how it was done and you need to put in a reason by the looks of it (in your own words) so no doubt the trolls will no longer be as active.

I have seen a few old id's (new to me) and have noticed quite a few MIA - not that most of the MIA I am talking about will be missed.

Would like the boards foramt to change a bit though - CS is the only place I play lately as the AC and DB are too annoying to navigate.
