Hi, everyone.
Alyceanne dropped in on her way back home from work to show me the beautiful card she has made for her friends funeral.

I just had to quickly scan it to share it here with all of you. The left side is a bit blurry, but I did not want to squash the flowers by closing the lid of the scanner.



The corners and swirls on the card are silver. A photo may have been better, but you can see how beautiful the card is.

Have to hurry to get to the Quack.

Getting old stinks.:-(

About six month ago I scratched my leg on the plastic washbasket. It was only a small scratch and I put a bandaid on it to stop the bleeding. I thought that in a few days it would have healed, but no ----- six month on and I still have a scab on the wound that is growing bigger.
Went to the Doctor today to see what he can give me to help the healing. Instead he told me frankly that it will never heal as it developed in to a cancer and has to be cut out by a Specialist. Because of my legs swelling during the day, no local surgeon will touch it.
Monday I have to go to another town and see this other Doctor. Hopefully he can fix this leg before I have to go for eye surgery on the 13th this month.

I'm going deaf and blind. I can live in blissful ignorance, but I don't want to loose a leg as well. :_|

Not too happy at the moment.

Oh dear Erica, I have read that wounds that don't heal are a problem. I hope they cut it out quick smart. Should you stay off your feet through the day? would that help?

Erica I am sorry you are having problems. If it happens again, try some savlon, a non stick dressing, and a bandage. Unfortunately I have had heaps of experience with hubby, he has, among other things, circulation problems. Sticking plasters of any sort are no good for your skin.

I watched the first one Dixo, love that show, the countryside is so green it always amazes me. Funny I see a run down old house, they see a house with character....different folks...

My problems are only minor ones compared what other people have to cope with. I am just a whinger. :8}

Missllinda, I had the bandaid on the scratch only for a few hours. The bleeding had stopped then. Just did not want to get blood on the leg of my slacks.
The scratch should have healed in a few days, instead the scab started to grow bigger. I am very careful after showers and never wipe that part of the leg, just pat it dry.
My Dr. said that whatever was on or in the plastic when I scratched the leg must have cause foreign cells to grow.

Well, I'll find out on Monday what has to be done, so no good spoiling the whole weekend worrying.

Had my little misery time, now back to normal. Well ----my kind of normal. :^O
