Nope.  Don't buy that.  Never heard of it    I collect playing cards

 

Playing cards were invented in Imperial China. They were found in China as early as the 9th century during the Tang Dynasty (618–907).

I'd never heard it either.  Like ever, in all the random trivia quizzes and tv game shows I've never seen that suggested.
