i find award shows boring, i really cant be bothered with any industry that feels the needs to 'pat itself on the back' for year after year of producing drivvel and calling it quality tv.

or movies

finally a guy has shown just how pathetic this 'competion' to win a little stauette is.

its all about marketing to get yourself the award.

he clearly said all along he didnt care about the award, but he got it anyway.

what a joke on the industry.

maybe its time the industry took a long hard look at itself?

and no, i didnt watch the 'show'

in fact i havent seen much of any show or person 'nominated' as nothing i watch is deemed 'popular'

I dont watch it, think its  a waste of time. Not a fan of Gleeson thus I would have liked to see Costa win the Gold Logie

I find all of the award ceremonies irrelevant.
My life would be no different without the performance industry and their awards.
When do garbage truck drivers get the award they so rightly deserve.
TV personalities are amply rewarded financially.
Shallow people that require constant praise don't make our lives better.
People that perform essential services do.
Award them

I didn't watch the Logies but I did look at the results this morning.

I don't watch many Oz drama shows and I don't like the reality shows so I was not surprised to see the ABC and Foxtel, Stan etc collect awards, as it seems likes ages since 7, 9 or 10 made any genuine good shows.  I only have access to free to air programs so I don't know what the Foxtel etc shows were like, but I imagine that right now the ABC must be dancing with glee. 🙂

I liked the old Logies with the overseas guest stars, in fact the last Logies I watched had Michael T Weiss (Jarod in The Pretender) as a special guest presenter.  It's been boring ever since IMO.

The Logies are viewer voted, not industry voted, but when you look at the standard of progams and the list of options to chose from.....who carres who wins, really.

Free to air TV has never been so dire.
