Vacuum Cleaners?

My two dyson uprights have decided to die with in week apart.   Id like to buy two new dysons or miele, With one for upstairs and one for down, But really don't know if i should buy the dc 41 animal upright or buy a miele. The current dysons are 10yrs old and have had a very hard life. Any opinions will be taken on board. Cat Happy

I've had my miele for 20 years.

I did give it away to my sister about 5 years ago so I could buy a dyson. But we swapped after 6 months cause I liked the old miele better.

If and when the old machine ever dies, I wil replace it with a miele.

The problem with asking here,  is that most people do not have experience/knowledge of more than a few brands. Have you considered in conjunction with  the CS replies a  study of some  'Choice'  tests/reports?

I have a $99.00  payless special-use it every few months.

Makes a noise -gives a bloke a nice warm feeling -like peeing in a wetsuit,

but no one can see the difference in the dirty carpets..............Richo.

I have experience with lots of brands. As long as they suck up what they have to suck up I'm happy.

Daughters have Dysons. I don't recall the brand name of mine. It sucks and that's all that matters.

One has a removable closure piece that allows you to recycle the dust bags if you want.

I don't have any recent experience with other brands. I have had a Dyson for nearly 15 years, more than happy with it and its still going strong.

I would recommend Dyson on the strength of my experience using their product for a long length of time.

I have never tried a Miele but am extremely happy with my Dyson. I recently also bought a Dyson stick vacuum aswell and now I only bring out the big one about once a month because my son (22) loves the stick vac and gives the house a quick going over twice a week! Should have bought one years ago Smiley Happy
