With the real likelihood that WA will have to go to the polls again to vote for the senate.
Should they allow people or parties that didn't stand before to stand this time. ??

People, possibly... people may have had to make other arrangements to earn money.
But Parties no way

hopefully a better outcome will result. if they hold another election and the sports party candidate dropkick doesn't get the seat, he'll still be paid as the result has been called. ditto ludlam and anyone else who loses out next time around.

There is a very good letter in today's West Australian that says, in part: "We can buy a lotto ticket or bet online in seconds. Yet the only legal tenure in a polling both is an HB pencil."
It is a rdiculously cumbersome and outmoded system and the ony statement from Clive Palmer with which I wholeheartedly agreee is that it needs to be changed.

Heard some talkback radio callers demanding that only those whose votes were lost should be forced to revote.....that is WA in a nutshell.
