WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

Once I’d solved 3L (humor), I had 4L dead to rights. Before the M, it could have been catch, patch, watch, latch, match.

The M also solved 2R as it ruled out chime.

When it came to 4R, I thought “Octordle must want to give strap a rest”… but no. It didn’t. Pooh!

I was extremely happy to get 4 yellows but then I hit a major block.
First instinct, tough. But..... it COULD be touch. Or maybe youth or mouth.

With reluctance, I felt I could either go for another eliminator or start guessing and risk a 6 (supposing that my 4 words were the only solutions and I never feel confident of that either)
So I took the safe course and tried cagey for turn 3.
Mouth would have been my last pick, had I been guessing.

This is what happens when I launch into guesses too early. I was sitting there, thinking, score or scope, score or scope.  Or should I just try another eliminator, pricy would solve it & has some useful letters.

This is the classic though so surely score is worth the risk.
Didn't work out as well as I had hoped.😂

I only got doing instead of going as I figured my score was already rubbish anyway so it was worth a risk & worth including a couple of different letters first.

I had a  pang at the end, drear or dread, but up to now, they seem to prefer dread.

I thought they liked bagel. Obviously they felt like a change.

I did think of spied for #7 but skier is generally their choice.
And right after turn 2, I thought-showy or shook for #3 and left it, but failed to act on it sooner once the K had been eliminated. Mind was elsewhere. No harm done though as it all worked out the mistake at the end.
