So if everybody respected, not believed, it's personal choice, just respected each others religion/belief system, then there would be no need for most of these wars or threads for that matter.

If that's the problem there is an easy solution. 

Clear out the people and wipe jeruselum off the map then it won't matter which direction people's bum's point towards while they pray. 

That is the most hideous argument I think I've ever seen about the conflict.  Better still ban the ridiculous habit of prayer stops altogether and learn how to live in the civilized modern world.  The next best thing to do would be burn all the stupid costumes both sides wear until they accept that we're all the same species underneath the garb and that there is an alternative to the greedy winner takes all approach.

Frankly I've had enough of all this teet for tat nonense.  It's like that song from the eighties "People are people so why should it be, that you and I should get along so AWFULLY"

Yes, rules was a silly choice of words.

The phobias, on both sides.  Strip away the protective layers of "uniform" so all men are equal.  

I was thinking in terms of the men.  They will never change their views about females while they are still living in the dark ages.

I agree with you totally.  I mean for goodness sake let men be men and women be women.  It's like they need a reformation.  I think Judaism had one (someone correct me if I'm wrong) Christianity definately had one, Islam seems to have skipped the boat on it...  wonder why....
