Why is Abbott so scared of Rudd?

His overall dimeaner this past week has been interesting. He certainly looks anxious.

So why not take Rudd on in a debate as Rudd suggests? It might be a good opportunity for Abbott to promote his policies.

Unemployment is very close to full employment, meaning it really can't get much better. I think 4.5% it "full" and I suppose that's because there are some people who cannot work. Compare that to countries who had conservative politics who followed austerity economics and are now suffering a depressing 26% 😞

Unemployment levels that high cause long term damage to economies, for example through the loss of skills, motivation & contemporary workforce practices. 

It staggers me to hear Australians whine on and on about how bad our economy is, but I think it's a reflection of our island, insular mentality where nothing exists beyond our shores.

The economy is not a static thing. There will always be things to fix, to prompt it to grow...and that's done best by a labor government because they care. Cuts to the bone will shrink our economy and cause hardship to all but the elite.

I'm guessing you're an elite to be so dedicated to a liberal govt?

Forbes have just ranked us at number 5 in the top performing countries so we can't be doing too bad.
