Why?

When the express line in woollies is halfway to the back of the store why do they turn around and serve people at the cigarette counter the moment they come through the door?  It makes my blood boil.

Why?

I stopped buying my groceries at Woolies years ago. No way am I going to stand in a line for 20 mins, just so they can keep half the registers shut and save of wages.

I agree with you Katie.  This is why I do most of my shopping at Coles.  Evidently they have a policy (in my area) that if there are five people waiting they open up more checkouts, even pulling in people from out the back of the store.

As for people going through the express checkout with a laden trolley.....grrrr.  But the checkout person is not allowed to say anything to the shopper about it.   And I bet these same people park in disabled parking.  It is a mindset.

If you're getting annoyed at Woolies, don't shop at Aldi.. Pretty much every time I'm in there they have 2 checkouts open and both are packed with people who have trolley loads of stuff..

Then when I get to the checkout I forget that I have to buy a bag, and of course there aren't any at the checkout that I'm in, so I have to either buy my stuff and go through again and buy a bag, or go back and get a bag and then stand in line again..

I could be here all day listing things that annoy me about Supermarkets and the people who shop in them.

Ask for some bags.... or leave the checkout with all stuff on the belt.... and go get some....or ask the people in the next checkout line to pass some?
