Obviously because that is because there is normally no dispute over the burial .I can show you cases where there has been and they have had to go to court and test the will.If there is a dispute the will is read BEFORE the funeral.

wow. ......wonder why they decided to change the goal posts on this particular ruling?
Bit like when this church decided to allow their followers to attend mass on a Saturday night, instead of Sunday's .....back in the mid 1970's ?.....in an attempt to keep the young folk attendances up.
....or when the pope was declared not infallible anymore, back in the mid 1940's ?
....or when catholic mass was spoken in english instead of Latin?
.....or when the catholic priests started saying mass facing the congregation instead of with back turned to congregation or as earlier - from behind a 'screen' ?
I guess the rules are changed for different reasons in many churches.

A Will has two - at least - witnesses.
Those witnesses are privy to the contents of the Will.
As this is a churchy thread - Thy Will Be Done.

I wanted to go to a body farm, but am told that there is none in Australia. Not sure I believe that.
So the next best thing is to donate to science, U of Q.

i think the only religion that strictly forbids it,
is islam.
i'm sure they all have their own good reasons...

Islam requires true believers to be cut up into pieces, threaded on a skewer, and turned into shishkabob for the grieving relatives......interspersed with peppers, onions, and cherry tomatoes, of course.
