Hi folks. I've just bought a box of coloured pencils, and will be working on my first drawing soon. I'll post the completed work here. Would love people to post their art here for us to see. Doesn't matter what type of art - drawing, painting, photos/photo manipulation, cake decorating, quilting, poetry, origami, whatever. Let's have some fun and show our creativity. ๐

This thread is great, Amy your painting looks bright and lively and one of the wonderful things with paint is that if you add more layers it adds lovely textures. You could keep working it up, but I think one of the hardest things to learn with 'art' is when a piece is finished. Or you just buy another and have another go.
I'm loving your drawing Moonlight, your doing them very quickly. Drawing I haven't done for awhile but as long as I had the time and patience I once could draw fairly adequately. But,
I struggle with painting, I absolutely love painting but I'm not particularly any good at it. This is the first canvas I ever painted, keep in mind I was at art school at the time and from waht I can remember it would've taken weeks. It's a self portrait with my old dog and was inspired by dreams and Dali ๐

Nice painting, Cosmo. ๐
Tas, use the pic and guidelines in post #196. The face is too long in that pic, but at least the guidelines are virtually complete, so you can at least get something resembling a face onto paper. Don't use the face and guidelines in #344, because that new guideline is for the bottom of the face, and won't match the guidelines of the top of the face in #196. That will really mess you up. ๐
Have fun, any probs, let me know. No need to rush anything. ๐

How did you make the blanket, Beani?
I'd love a rug like that ... could the pattern be adapted for a rug?
Sorry it took me so long to get back... ๐
I crocheted it...is that how you spell that?
I had left over balls of wool and bought extra colours in 8 ply. Took weeks.
I have always wondered if I could do it with string. Rugs can be made with all sorts of materials... why not try it?
