On reading it sounds as though they want someone to look after it while they are overseas for a spell. (Free usage maybe)

Hmm, not so sure kopen, a car can be to set up for storage, maintained, for example; on one item - the radiator can be drained so it wont cause any corrosion due to long periods of no use.

mate got caught in a free car, scam.

listin' looked like it was for a sale, but turned out it was

a drive-a-free vehicle deal, 'ad wrap advertising banners all

over the thing, many conditions attached.

did this one state a timeline for the free drive, per'aps people

who 'ad two vehicles, didn't need one for three months,

somethin' like that.

eloi, there were no conditions stated, just said; made a family decision to giving it away for free and wanted someone to look after the car (could be taken a number of ways)

first thing i'd be wary of is it might still owe money to a finance company.
