Re: i have a banking question

Sorry, I was talking point of sale transactions.

I don't think your funds transfers are limited to only $1000. I know NAB is $2500 but can easily be raised for intermet transfers.

Re: i have a banking question

With St George I can transfer any amount at all between our accounts but have a limit of $5000 for payments to other parties, no limit on debit card purchases except what is in the account and an ATM withdrawal limit of $2000 from all accounts but $1000 from each individual account.

Joz, this is bad service. What Bank ar you banking with? (I don't expect an answer)

I never had the problem of transfering $1,000.- , I've nver had that much to spend, but when I need information I ring the branch I am banking with, not Head Office. I alwys get through to someone and most likely straight to the Manager.

Hanging on the phone for ages only to listen to recorded messages is bd enough with Gvernment Departements, but a Bank needs to respond to phone calls as soon as possible if they want to kep their customers.

I would have a thing or two to say to the Manager.

i bank with NAB (always have)

im just going to front up my home branch - update my account, there are times i'll spend more than a grand in a day

especially in january, i seem to go on spending sprees in jan for some reason

ask 'em for a direct line too, in case of any inquiries

i ring the 132265 number, stoopid set up.. i never get thru to a real person

Re: i have a banking question

I bank with the same bank as you, joz.. I don't seek assistance often but if I did I would go to the local branch.

On the phone to the bank call centre, reporting internet banking fraud my daughter got some dumb young guy who said it must be her fault somehow for using her c/c details on the net! He was young and terrible and wouldn't move on from his stance, finally got a supervisor on the line and she was onto actioning the reported fraud straight away and said she would get it refunded.

I know what they guy said because I spoke to him as well.

Re: i have a banking question

yeah am3, i called the NAB centre (well, its the only number i know of) to try out in the mornings and got thru without any dramas (or swearing)

yesterday avro they must have been short staffed

but a young chick answered, talking a hundred miles per hour, repeatedly had to ask for a repeat - couldnt understand what she was on about half the time. hate that - couldve been busy with customers? i dunno

got the message in the end

Re: i have a banking question

I left my ATM card in the machine outside out local bank last year on a Sat. On Mon I phoned the bank call centre and asked for the local branches phone number.. they said they would call them for me and phoned me back and said the branch looked and it wasn't there. Cancelled my card etc and request a new one.

About a week later a lady from the local bank phoned me and said we found your card in the bottom of the bin at the back of the ATM.

I said how come you didn't see it when I enquired last week, they said don't know, it is black perhaps it was hard to see.

GRR

I also have an account at Westpac and they gave me a card to call them direct with their local number on it.
