Is there any kind of inexpenseve service for re directing a post package that anyone has heard of ?
Im trying to get some kahali orange ginger plants from Victoria but the company selling them say they are not allowed in NSW or QLD due to Quarantine rules. They are wrong looking at the Dep of primary industries site they are allowed , some councils in upper NSW do not allow them but they are not illegal here as such and certainly not in sydney.
They cannot do anything for now but sugested I send an email to their horticultural person ect but by the time I do that im pretty sure it will be all sold out so Im wondering if I could just get them sent elsewhere and redirected .

In times gone by - providing the package hasn't been opened
the receiver can cross out the address and write beside it
"leftt this address try blah blah blah"

Freddie I think the OP wants someone in another state to receive the parcl and then send it on to him.
Amalan, I have never heard of such a service in Australia. Australia Post has such a service but it operates overseas, particularly in the USA.

Lyndal providing the package or letter isn't opened and resealed
all the receiver does is cross out the address on the package and
re-address the package to the address with a note no longer at
this address and try 12 woop woop street woopy.

Yes Freddie, but the OP wants someone who is not in NSW where he is to take delivery of the items and readdress them to him in NSW.
The company he wants to buy from says they will not send to NSW because of quarantine laws.

Oh sorry Lyndal now I see I thought they already had someone who would readdress
the package to them - plenty of peeps on here in Vic maybe someone will
offer to help. I'm in NSW so no good.

They're plants!
By the time they're re-addressed and forwarded on, they'll be dead in this heat
Amalan, send them a link to the correct site and argue your case again

Depends if they are bulbs or not, bulbs would be fine ( pretty sure ginger is a bulb )

It is a rhizome Bushie so should be fine in the post even in the heat.
