quiting smoking

Have been a 20 pack a day smoker

For nearly 40 years and stopped cold turkey

On Monday

So have made it 4 days without a smoke

Feel like I am going crazy

And don't want to go near a shop for a while

Until I feel safe to avoid the impulse to buy

A packet

Not easy that's for sure

Re: quiting smoking

I'm glad you were able to get hold of it Soul.  Now I will pass on my copy to my brother and I hope he will try again.  I know he wants to but he smokes more than anyone I have ever known (except for me maybe).

Oh, forgot......I bought the book I wanted, so thanks for the kind offer joono but I'm right now.  It has about 500 pages ( it's a new edition with a bit of extra info) I started reading it today, and will take a few days to read.  I'll post the day before I plan to quit.

With money I save in the first week, I plan on buying one of those beautiful but quite expensive candles so my home will smell devine (and hopefully I will smell much better too hahaha).

Soul you can smoke whilst you are reading the book and I reckon I got to the half way point and kept wondering when Alan would actually write "stop smoking"..well he never does and believe me  that not too many pages later I realised I didn`t want to smoke anymore and I ceased then and there...magic...and success!!I hope the book get`s into your mind and YOU realise how easy it is to stop Soul!!

Re: quiting smoking

I hope it works for him joono.

I think there comes a time when you just know you don't want to smoke anymore and I think you're only successful if it's your own decsion, not someone else wanting you to.

I'm really excited hehehehe weird I know !

A hint....take your time reading the book, read it all as he tends to repeat alot of things and you might start to skip it or get bored..perservere and even if you only read 1 chapter a night that`s good going....let his words sink in...

got everything crossed for you....Soul

Re: quiting smoking

Okay, I'll take your advice nics.  I'm a quick reader, so I'll alternate between this book and a novel.
