Dad taught me to drive, and he self taught himself the wonders of the Mac world, from the old beige box, onwards...
Personally, I think teaching me to drive was probably the more arduous of the two, ha ha...

I had a piece of timber clamped across the hole in the pergola roof, while the panel was down for repairs.
A sort of makeshift bridge, just to make life easier than having to go around the hole...
Mother possum sees... Mother possum Remembers... ha ha...
This evening, as she perched precariously on a bridge made from a single garden stake, she said, "You know, I reckon that piece of timber would cover this stretch of bridge, just nicely...".
Subtlety is one of her strong points, having me wrapped around her little finger, well, that's a given... ha ha...
It's like the birds, with overhanging branches...
They'll strut, confidently, along a bridge until they reach the offending foliage, then stop and glare at it, before ducking under it and moving on, as though that will alone will make it go away...ha ha...
They're my kind of lazy gardeners... ha ha..
